Best tourmaline hair straighteners?

Tourmaline hair straighteners are nothing new, but it still seems that people are more familiar with ceramic technology. Tourmaline is similar to ceramic as they are both gem stones and have good properties when used in flat iron heating plates. Tourmaline plates will emit a lot more negative ions than a standard ceramic plate, which is good for your hair as the negative ions can balance out the positive ions which cause your hair to frizz.

Three of the best tourmaline hair straighteners are Made by Solia, Sedu and the Croc 2. Click the link for a full review.

Confused about the different technology in flat irons?

It seems like hair styling tools are becoming more and more complex in terms of the technology they claim to use to help make your hair look great. I was just watching a video about the Croc 2 flat iron, wow that looks like a complex straightener!

I found this good article which explains some of the terms used in flat iron reviews.

Grab yourself a bargain on the Babyliss Pro flat iron

If you are going to treat yourself to a new flat iron this year then you might want to consider the BabylissPro Nano Titanium 1 1/4" Straightening Iron
. Babyliss seem to have a knack for creating great quality styling products, but at affordable prices. This flat iron has titanium plates so looks all shiny and pretty, but they are also super smooth so there is no pulling at the hair.

The Babyliss Pro is a top rated product on both Folica.com and Amazon, but at the moment there is a very big price difference between the two sites, so you have potential to buy a real bargain. Folica is charging $130, but you could buy from Amazon for only $74!! Take a look at BabylissPro Nano Titanium 1 1/4" Straightening Iron - BABNT2091T
